Boil Order in Lifted

Posted 12/16/21

Calendar Event Photo

To our customers,

Please be advised that the 48 hour boil order has been Lifted for Eighth Street from Ash Avenue to Henrietta Avenue in Moundsville.

The water service had to be shut off on Thursday, December 16th, 2021 to allow the Moundsville Water Board Maintenance Crew to replace a leaking fire hydrant on Eighth Street. This affected the customers who reside on Eighth Street between Ash Avenue and Henrietta Avenue.

For our customer’s protection, a 48 hour boil order had been put in place following the restoration of water service until sample results were received from the lab in Wheeling. We just received word that the sample cleared, so the Boil Order is lifted.

We do this to ensure that our customers are receiving the safest and best quality of water available. We are sorry for any inconvenience this had caused to our customers. The hydrant has to be replaced to ensure adequate fire protection for the residents in that area.

Thank you for your patience!
