John is a life-long Moundsville resident, and graduated from John Marshall High School. He attended West Liberty College and graduated from Belmont College with A.A.S.E.E. He retired from First Energy Corporation in 2016. He was hired in March of 2019 as the Director of Parks and Recreation, bringing over 36 years of supervisory/management experience with him.

John has 40+ years of coaching various sports in Marshall County. He has been married to his wife Cindi since 1984, and they have two adult daughters – Jade and Brittany who are both married. Two grandchildren – Monroe and Sawyer round out the family.

John’s hobbies include spending time with his family, coaching football, and family vacations.
