Coronavirus Update from the City Council and City Manager

The Council and administration of the City of Moundsville want to remind all residents to continue to follow Executive Order No. 920 issued by West Virginia Governor Jim Justice last week.  The “Stay at Home” Order was issued to slow the Spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) by limiting interaction with others.  The order mandates that residents stay home and only go out for essential services (groceries, medicine, etc,), continue to keep a social distance (6’) from others, and do not gather in groups of ten or more.  It will become increasingly harder to abide by this order, but City Council urges everyone to endure until the order is repealed.  The more vigilant that everyone is with this, the sooner we can beat this.  Essential city services are continuing, including all public safety forces, sanitation services, water and sewer operations, and limited public works and office operations.  Citizens can make all payments in one of the two drop boxes located at the City Building, by mail, or on-line at the City’s website (www.cityofmoundsville.com) or from the app.  The City Parks System is also closed to the public during this time.  Questions regarding any city operation can be directed to the City Clerk’s Office at 304-845-3394.
